Introduction and background of KDO.

KDO is a nonprofit, nonpartisan and non-government organization established and registered in 3rd October 2023 under the society’s registration act 1860. It was set up to respond the urgent needs of communities specially to address the associated challenges and issues with blood related and genetic disorders which includes but not limited to GBV, injustices, discrimination on the basis of disabilities and gender etc.

Beside the community development in general, KDO is especially focused on the thematic areas being ignored and not included in the broader spectrum of development and empowerment of communities and contributing the promotion and protection of basic human rights, gender justices, non-discriminative systems, policies and services at all levels. KDO will continue its struggle for the prevention and responding the unattended areas includes genetic and blood related disorders especially thalassemia, and rehabilitation of the affected population through its integrated programs.
